Jerrell is an attorney with Vandeventer Black and concentrates his law practice in products liability, professional liability defense, construction, insurance defense, labor and employment and regulatory licensing. He represents accountants, architects, engineers, contractors and liability carriers.
Before joining Vandeventer Black, Jerrell worked as a products liability defense lawyer with another Richmond law firm, where he served as national counsel for a Fortune 100 company and represented mid-size to large companies in defense matters. He has also worked as a team member of the Disability Law Clinic at the University of Richmond School of Law and as a law clerk for the Internal Revenue Service’s Office of Chief Counsel. He also volunteered as a law clerk for Richmond’s Legal Aid Justice Center.
Before going to law school, Jerrell was a senior recruiter for Richard, Wayne and Roberts and served as the student ministries pastor at Bethel Independent Presbyterian Church, both in Houston, Texas.
Jerrell earned a B.A. from Texas A&M University, a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a J.D. (magna cum laude) from the University of Richmond School of Law.
He is licensed to practice in Virginia and is based in the firm’s Richmond office.
