Vandeventer Black raises over 740 pounds of food for Legal Food Frenzy
The Central Virginia Foodbank raised an amazing 873,305 pounds of food in this year’s Legal Food Frenzy contest. This event, now in its fourth year, ran from April 5 through April 16 and was open to all lawyers, their staffs, and members of the legal community across Virginia.
Vandeventer Black raised 18,510 pounds of food, equivalent to 740.38 pounds per capita, with the help of a dedicated staff and was awarded second place in their respective category.
“It was a vigorous battle, but in the legal community’s fight against hunger, our region’s most vulnerable population came out the winners in this year’s Legal Food Frenzy. In this record-breaking year, 56 participating firms raised an astounding 873, 305 pounds of food,” Kristin Van Story, Director of Communications for the Central Virginia Food Bank said. “With the Central Virginia participants contributing over half of the total 1.6 million pounds raised for the entire state. A special thank you to the commitment and support of the contributing firms—for offering critical nourishment and elevating hope for the hungry in our community.”
