Maimone fortifies vandeventer black professional liability defense practice
RICHMOND, VA. The law offices of Vandeventer Black are pleased to announce that Casaundra M. Maimone has joined the firm’s Professional Liability Defense group representing accountants, architects, engineers, developers, contractors, insurance carriers and their professional insureds in a variety of construction, professional liability and contract disputes. She also defends healthcare professionals and attorneys against malpractice and other professional liability claims.
Maimone earned both her law degree and her bachelor’s degree (magna cum laude) from William & Mary. While in law school, Maimone served as Chief Justice of the Honor Council. She was the Lawrence W. I’Anson Scholar and received the Dean’s Award. She worked with Vandeventer Black in 2008 and 2009 as a summer associate. From 2004 to 2007, she was a research assistant and performed independent study at Borgenicht Research Program for Aging Studies and Exercise Science, where she researched and analyzed exercise protocol in the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease. Fluent in Spanish, she volunteered as a Spanish tutor for the Williamsburg Public Schools. She was also active in St. Bede’s Catholic Campus Ministries. Maimone worked as a teaching assistant for two years for the William & Mary biology department, instructing the lab sections of human anatomy and physiology classes.
